Privacy Policy
How we handle your data and protect your privacy.
Our Commitment to Privacy
At ImmigrationPoints.com, we believe that access to immigration information should not come at the cost of your privacy. This privacy policy explains what data we collect (and do not collect) when you use our website and calculators.
Calculator Data
Our immigration points calculators run entirely in your web browser using client-side JavaScript. The personal information you enter into the calculators - including your age, education, language scores, work experience, and other factors - is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. We do not collect, store, or have access to any data you enter into our calculators.
No Trackers, Only an Anonymous Stability Check
ImmigrationPoints.com runs no tracker: no Google Analytics, no advertising network, no social media pixel. To check that the site works (errors, load times, clicks that do nothing), it uses Microsoft Clarity in cookieless mode: no cookie is set, each page view gets a one-off identifier, visits are not linked together and page content is masked. The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited; data are kept 30 days (aggregates up to 13 months); the legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working site (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). You can object by blocking clarity.ms in your browser or by writing to us. Radif Partners, the publisher, records no personal data about the people who check their Express Entry or SkillSelect points here.
Cookies
This website sets no cookie, on any page. The CRS and Australian points calculators keep nothing on your device either: your age, degree, IELTS or CELPIP results and years of work experience exist only in the open browser tab and disappear when you close it. Because nothing is stored on your device, there is no cookie banner on this site: there is nothing to accept or refuse.
Hosting and Server Logs
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). Like any web server, GitHub automatically records technical request data in its logs, such as the IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type, to deliver the pages and protect the service against abuse. We do not use these logs to identify visitors; they are kept and handled by GitHub under its own privacy statement.
If you write to contact@immigrationpoints.com, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete the exchange once it no longer serves that purpose.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer any information to third parties. Since we do not collect personal data from our calculators, there is no personal data to share.
Children's Privacy
Our website is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and the right to object to certain processing activities. Since we store no personal data from the calculators or from your visit, there is usually nothing for us to retrieve; if you write to us, these rights apply to your email. Depending on where you live, you may also complain to your data protection authority, for example the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
Contact
If you have questions about this privacy policy or our data practices, write to contact@immigrationpoints.com.
